South India's Famous Dosa Sambhar Read It's Origin & Recipe



Sambhar dosa is a popular dish from southern India, specifically from the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a type of dosa, which is a crepe-like dish made from fermented rice and lentils. The dosa is typically served with a side of sambhar, a lentil-based stew, and chutney. Sambhar Dosa Recipe :
Ingredients:

2 cups of rice flour
1 cup of urad dal flour
Water as needed
Salt to taste
2 cups of chopped vegetables (carrots, green beans, etc.)
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp oil
Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together the rice flour, urad dal flour, and water until it forms a smooth batter. Let it ferment for 8-12 hours.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add in the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add in the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook until the tomatoes turn mushy.
Add in the chopped vegetables and cook until they are tender.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of the fermented dosa batter on it. Spread it out in a circular motion.
Once the dosa is cooked, spoon some sambhar on one side of the dosa and roll it up.
Serve hot and garnish with coriander leaves.
Note: You can also add other vegetables like drumstick, eggplant, pumpkin to the sambhar.

2 टमाटर, बारीक कटे
1 छोटी चम्मच सरसों के बीज
1 छोटी चम्मच जीरा बीज
1 छोटी चम्मच हल्दी पाउडर
1 छोटी चम्मच लाल मिर्च पाउडर
2 बड़े चम्मच तेल
धनिये के पत्ते स्वादानुसार
विधि:

एक बड़े कटोरे में, चावल के आटे, उड़द दाल के आटे और पानी को मिलाकर एक सुंदर बैटर बनाएं। 8-12 घंटे के लिए फर्मेंट करें।
